2009-2010 Student Standard Dress Code

The Newton Independent School District Board of Trustees added two more colors to the approved colors for polo shirts: navy and burgundy. The complete standard dress code may be found at the link below.

I hope that all of our students, faculty, and staff are enjoying the summer holidays. There have been a lot of things going on at school since the summer began. Two new principals have been hired; I would like to welcome Patti Crouch to Newton High School and Georgia Sayers to Newton Elementary School.

Summer school wrapped up for all three campuses on June 25. Construction on the new home-side bleachers at Singletary Stadium has begun. The track has been resurfaced. Exteriors of buildings on all campuses are being pressure-washed, interior hallways are being painted, and the custodial staff members are waxing floors. All activities are in preparation for a fresh start for 2009-2010. I am looking forward to a great year!
